We had an amazing time at Kingfishers The apartments are very clean and cozy. The landlords (both from England) are very nice. Ricardo, Naples, Italy.

We have visited The Gambia 3 times previously but always stayed in large hotels. This time we decided to stay at Kingfishers as recommended by friends.
Well it certainly did not disappoint, we were greeted as friends on arrival and this continued throughout our 2 week stay.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for Charlie and Clinton.
The Kingfishers is spotless, beautiful gardens, plunge pool and a swimming pool.
Apartments are cleaned to a high standard, bedding/towels changed regularly, even provided with sunlounger towels.
Oz will deliver your bread daily along with keeping your room spotless.
Saikuba keeps you safe during the night. He even gave us a lesson in making and pouring green tea. Charlie and Clinton are the perfect hosts, very knowledgeable about The Gambia and are always on hand with advice and tips if needed.

We have stayed at Kingfishers now four to five times on our annual winter holiday to The Gambia. It is an amazing little gem,Charlie and Clinton are not only the best hosts but we consider them friends. The team they have built is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble, rooms are spotless and the gardens gorgeous with an array of beautiful birds visiting daily. The pool is kept in tip top condition and is a welcome Oasis. You can buy the basics needed from them at very reasonable prices. They will provide breakfast if needed,and as an exceptional evening meal option of “eat what Charlie and Clinton eat” an array of very tasty dishes are served.They are very knowledgeable about The Gambia having lived there over 12 years. Nothing seems to be to much trouble for these guys and they will help you the best they can. They will help you navigate the area and can arrange trips on lazy day river fishing and advise on the best restaurants and beach bars to visit near and far. They will arrange a taxi to and from the airport for you and offer an amazing welcome. If this is your first ever trip to the Gambia or a regular visitor you will be taken care of and see the real culture of the Gambia. This personal touch is something the big Hotels cannot provide. There was an option to use breakfast and dinner. Both were of excellent quality. The ingredients were freshly prepared and if you had any wishes you could indicate these. Enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside in great comfort at a shared or private table! Sam, NL

Enjoyed a 9 night stay here in December '25. The charming accommodation located on the edge of the tourist area is run by a UK ex-patriot couple who are fantastic, friendly hosts. They always try and keep guests informed of any impending and scheduled power cuts, and they have a generator in place to take over if needed. WiFi access is consistent, shower water power is great. The 4 apartments are managed well by the couple and their team. There are two pools on the property too. It was always a feeling of reaching a home-from-home whenever arriving back after a day out. Kitchenette facilities are adequate and convenient, although there are well attended local restaurants within walking distance if you're feeling lazy, frequented by both locals and visiting tourists. Situated on a road with easy access to the Senegambia Highway just north of Bijilo roundabout, and serviced well by passing tuk-tuks or taxi cabs. However, there's enjoyment to be had by either taking a walk to the attractions of the tourist area in Senegambia, or just browse the local districts of Kerr Serign and Sanchaba. Do not overlook this accommodation if you are looking for competitively priced, great value for money without the fear of wondering whether the overall standard will be good enough for your expectations.

Ideal location for enjoying the beach when not relaxing around the pool!

Appartments are lovely. They are clean, spacious and well equiped. The small complex has a great pool area, and there is also a small plunge pool right outside the appartments. It is so quiet and peacefull. The service is exellent and a delicious breakfast can be served to your room for a very reasonable charge . Beautiful place to stay if you come to visit Gambia. Super nice swimming pool, lots of space and very nice and helpful hosts, they give lots of tips about activities and have great tour guides who can drive you around. If you indicate this, you can also have a delicious dinner here for a fair price in the evening. Definitely a nice and beautiful place to stay. Conny, NL
